There are examples of charms throughout history, even as far back as the Neolithic era. Over the centuries their purpose has evolved, and it was Queen Victoria that revitalised the charm bracelet in the late 19th century. This bracelet, made in 1897, would have been produced in response to this surge in popularity during the Victorian era. It is 9 carat rose gold with a heart shaped padlock fitting, and is hollow.
